Cromer Beach Signal Box – Saturday 13th June 2026

The Cromer Beach Signal Box is a Grade II listed Historic England  landmark built in 1920 by engineer William Marriott. Located on Holt Road at Cromer Station, it is the last surviving concrete signal box and the final working box from the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway (M&GNJR).

In 2005, a group was established to preserve and renovate the ex M&GN grade II listed signal box.  During the year the volunteers hold an open day.

On Saturday the 13th June 2026, an open day was held and Paul Young from the Melton Constable Trust interviewed Start Holm who is a key figure in the ongoing restoration of the signal box.
