Eight members of the Militia attended and took part in refresher training on drills. The platform made a perfect parade ground and they went though a variety of different manoeuvres.  To close the training session a barbeque was held.

Our Project officer Paul Young, interviewed the founder of the East Norfolk Militia, Peter Heath.

County School station is part of the Mid-Norfolk Railway, and serves as a hub for several local groups and associations.  It is a popular location and there are a number of walking groups who regularly call in.  Also due to its atmospheric location it attracts art groups.

North Norfolk Model Engineering Club

In 2019, after sixteen years at the Holt Railway station on the North Norfolk Railway, the  North Norfolk Model Engineering Club were asked to move to make space for a new heritage signal box and in 2022, the 104 year old Reedham Junction Signal Box was transferred to Holt.

Whilst this was disappointing for the club, the good news is that they were offered the option, by the Mid Norfolk Railway, to relocate to County School Railway Station near to North Elmham.
